The deep blue yonder...this is why I'm here

The past 2 tourists to the island
has made me realize,
I miss the ocean...

When I was just a little girl....da da da
I used to love the ocean
whenever we would go back to my moms home town,
I would always want to go to the beach
Port dickson, Pangkor, Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bharu beach that borders singapore (yuck!)
But, since I moved to Hawaii....
I rarely go to the beach
and it's 5 minutes away

I think its the fact that its so close
and its always there
that one takes it for granted.
that one grows immune to its beauty.

Then one day,
you decide to go to the beach,
take a dip
and then
you find that kid inside
that once upon a time
swam so much that her dark, dark hair
turned blonde at the ends...
and you realize,
that a person born under a water sign,
will always love the water

Riddle me this

You may not speak my language
but when you hear me,
you understand me
you hear my pain
you feel my joy
through me, you understand what others are trying to say
through me, you listen to what others have to say...
I am....

Love at first sniff...

A persons natural scent is biochemical bouquet as unique as a fingerprint it broadcasts all sort of information about our genetic makeup.

For years, research has been done on the genes that governs the major histocompatibility complex(MHC), a component of the immune system.

Mating with a person whose MHC varies notably from one's own is biologically ideal, providing offsprings with a stronger immune system.

When geneticist, Carole Ober of University of Chicago studied a small South Dakota religious community of Hutterites, and who, happens to avoid all scented products, found striking results.

Women were far more likely to marry men with substantially different MHC genes, indicating that something like chemical signals reflected in the body odor, helped dictate those choices.
The study also showed that couples with similar MHC's were more likely to suffer miscarriages...(hmm.....)

So, we will pick people with a differnt MHC as our own

And we can tell just by sniffing and unconsciously,

our brain detects these genetic makeups

that tells our minds, yes, we are, or no we're not, attracted to this person....

another fun fact,
apparently the smell of men, can help a women relax...
so next time you feel stressed girls, you know what to do....sniff...sniff...
oh, and they regulate mood and hormones too...
Interesting.....
